Care and Maintenance
Keeping SPC floors looking new takes a vacuum, a damp mop and a few felt pads.
Every day
- Sweep or vacuum (hard-floor setting, no beater bar).
- Wipe spills when you see them. Water will not hurt the plank, but it is slippery.
Every week
- Damp mop with warm water and a pH-neutral floor cleaner.
- Skip steam mops, wax, oil soaps and abrasive powders.
Prevent scratches
- Put felt pads on chair and table legs.
- Use a mat at outside doors to catch grit.
- Lift heavy furniture instead of dragging it.
- Use rugs with a non-staining backing (avoid rubber and latex).
Sun
Blinds or UV-film on big south-facing windows help any floor keep its color for longer.
